What is this course about and what are the outcomes?

This is a six-month, guided creative writing journey held within a small, women-only group. The course offers a steady, structured space to explore writing as a reflective practice rather than a technical skill.

Over time, participants often develop a more sustainable writing practice, greater confidence in their own voice, and an increased ability to work with blocks or uncertainty without self-judgement. Many also leave with a coherent body of personal writing and new ways of understanding how earlier experiences continue to shape present patterns. The emphasis is on process, continuity, and authorship rather than performance or productivity.

What are the dates and times of this course, and why six months?

The course runs from 16 September 2026 to 30 April 2027.

Core sessions take place fortnightly on Wednesdays from 6.30–8.30pm GMT, with optional reflection sessions on alternate Wednesdays from 6.30–8.00pm. All sessions are held online.

The course is intentionally six months long because the work it invites cannot be rushed. Writing trust, confidence, and integration develop through regular return rather than short-term intensity. The extended duration allows themes to unfold gradually, earlier writing to be revisited, and a sense of continuity to form across the work.

Question 3

What happens if I miss a session or can no longer continue?

Accepted Answer

The course runs as a closed group, and participants are encouraged to attend all core sessions to support continuity and group safety. That said, life events and unforeseen circumstances are understood. Occasional absences do not require explanation, and there is no pressure to catch up or disclose personal reasons.

Fees are payable in full or via an agreed payment plan and are non-refundable once the course has begun, as places are reserved for the full six months and cannot be reallocated.

Question 4

Is this a therapy group, and will I be expected to share personal material?

This is not a therapy group and does not replace personal or professional support. Writing is used as a creative and reflective practice held within clear ethical boundaries.

Writing is always optional, and sharing is never required. Participants choose what they write, what remains private, and what, if anything, they share with the group. The facilitator does not analyse or interpret participants’ writing. The space is held with attention to choice, confidentiality, and care throughout.
