This taster is an introduction to creative writing and narrative practice for women reflecting on boarding-school experience. It offers a contained opportunity to experience the tone, pacing, and approach of the work, with no ongoing commitment required. The session is suitable whether you are new to writing or already write. It is designed for those who want to explore writing as a reflective practice rather than a technical skill, and for those who wish to get a clear sense of the six-month journey before deciding whether to continue.

The taster session is offered on Wednesday 18 November, from 12.30–2.00pm. The session is a single, live online event. This informal lunchtime taster includes a short, shared reading, a gentle writing invitation and time for conversation and questions. There is no expectation to share your writing, and participation is always by choice. The session takes place live online and is not recorded.

This is not a therapy session and does not replace personal or professional support. Writing is used as a reflective and creative practice, held within clear ethical boundaries. Writing is always optional, and sharing is never required. Participants choose what they write, what remains private, and what, if anything, they share with the group. The host does not analyse or interpret participants’ writing. Confidentiality, care, and respect are central to how the space is held.
